Something Going On In The ehMac Gallery?

Just poked around in my photo gallery on ehMac and noticed that it won't stay in order; I want it in descending order on date posted. But if I leave the site & return, it's out of date order again. Is this related to the ongoing ehMac upgrade? It was fine yesterday, and stayed in my preferred order.

I tried logging out & deleting all ehMac cookies but the problem persists upon logging back in. Same thing happens in Safari and FireFox.

Also - I'm nearing the size limit for my gallery and...

IOS Mail Weirdness

I have a dedicated Gmail account just for my iPad. Yesterday, I started getting bombarded by junk mail to that account. I thought that was weird, because Gmail has always been pretty good about filtering spam.

So, I went to the Gmail website to see why the mail hadn’t been filtered and to flag them so the system would learn. But, when I get in there, I see that the offending emails were, in fact, filtered and were in the Spam folder. Huh?

Not sure which iPad to buy, advice , thoughts please.

Hello all, I’m thinking of getting a new iPad. I’ve been looking at the iPad Pro and the iPad Air.
What I’m interested in is the USB-C which is on the new Air. Does this mean there will be eventually memory sticks and such so I can archive junk....and if syncing with a computer I can link my iPad to my Macbook Air and move files.

I like the size of the larger pro and am interested in its camera and video abilities. I’m only Thinking of the Wi-Fi models here.

The Baseball Thread!

As long as I can remember the first true signs of spring were: kids playing ball hockey, robins, and the “Opening Day” of Major League Baseball.

As a kid in public school, it seemed everyone played the game. Now, where there used to be baseball diamonds there are soccer pitches. Fewer and fewer kids seem to be playing the game.

In this day and age of computer games with their flash and all too common violent based themes, no one seems to pickup a ball and glove and just enjoy tossing...

High Sierra

I'm trying to download High Sierra so I can create a stand alone installer but iTunes keeps telling me it isn't available fro it's US store. Apparently is is, but I can't access it. I'm currently using Mavericks. Any help would be appreciated.

Print only in black?

I cant figure out how to get my HP 845C printer to print only in black. It's such a waste of colour ink to print out my bills in colour.

I looked in System Prefs, Printers, and my printer is listed, but no option to have it print only in black, tho I had the option when it was hooked up to my PC.

When I print anything I go to Print and print in Draft mode, as quick is more important than quality, and there is nothing there to set an option for just black ink.

How do I do this? Or can I...

Using HANDBRAKE on DVD

Hi All, I have a legally owned DVD that I want to make a copy. I used HANDBRAKE, but all I got in the end was crappy audio, and blocked video. Im using Handbrake 0.10.5 on a 2009 2.66 El Capitan

When I double click on the file I get the following message

"License Error: mocha AE CS68 must only be launched after Effects - please visit www.imagineersystems.com/"

The only to open is by 'open with'...but quicktime and VLC both no effect...

iMac G3 - Indigo / External Drive cases

Hi everyone, cleaning up the place and I have an iMac G3 - Indigo blue that I want to get rid of. Booted up in the summer fine. I believe there is a keyboard and mouse too.

Does anyone want it? Would take some beers for it.

Also have a couple of external IDE drive cases that work but my drives conked out.

SCSI 100 MB ZIP DRIVE in 2021?

I have a stack of 100 MB ZIP disks and a ZIP drive with a SCSI connector. I've looked up various possible solutions for reading these disks, but I'd like to ask anyone here if they've used these with relatively modern Apple equipment. The oldest Apple equipment I own is a G4 533MH Dual, which is already past native SCSII.

I've considered a new adapter cable and an old SCSI card for the G4. Any suggestions?

No option to merge folders, only replace

I am running the latest version of Mojave and have just noticed something. I used to have an option to replace or merge when moving a folder with the same name. Another person here at work has the same issue. Not sure if this was an Apple feature removed in an update or what, but I cannot get this option to work. I have tried holding the option key when moving the folder but that does nothing. There is a terminal command but that is not a solution I am looking for as that just adds more...

Losing Storage Space, Mac Air

Always get great advice here, never fails. Thanks in advance.
I slipped under 20 GB of space on my Mac Air (121 GB) recently, panicked, started working to dump files, photos, etc. I hesitated to buy CleanMyMac, not sure of the software, plenty of articles not in support.
I did the search off the desktop, deleted some .app and .dmg files, some duplicates of movies. I've managed to recover enough to get back up to 24 GB. This still doesn't seem like enough space.

Heat Issue in Clamshell Mode?

Hello all.

I've a late 2013 MBP. I recall hearing ages ago (maybe in late 2013, lol, but possibly back in the G4 days) that some Apple laptops had difficulty with heat dissipation while in clamshell mode (lid closed, only using an external monitor).
