"silly" question about specs

I'm prepping to sell this computer and realized I am not sure how much RAM it has. In the photo, is the arrow pointing at the RAM? ...showing 1 GB of RAM? I think it is but am not sure!

G5 clean up moves forward (new question)

Hi,

I successfully erased my documents drive in the G5 just by using the Disk Utility (did the 7x erase). Now I want to do the main OS drive. I have an installer disk with OS 10.4 (Tiger). I gather I can use this to do it but it's all so old, I can't find helpful 'how to' videos on the internet. Do I just insert the disc or do I need to hold down any special keys to do the erase and clean install?

I'll try inserting just to see but if anyone wouldn't mind also confirming my steps....that'd...

Old G5 won't go into Recovery Mode

Hi,

I'm finally trying to clean my old computer's hard drives so I can get rid of it but it will not enter recovery mode when I hold down Cmd R. I've moved to a different USB port and tried both cmd keys on the keyboard.

Can anyone offer me a suggestion so I can clean this and move it on out of the house?

It's a G5 running 10.4.11

Mail app running very slow

I don’t understand why my mail app has suddenly slowed down. Gmail app works perfectly so does everything else. iOS 15 latest version. Sometimes it loads the header but won’t load the message. I have preview turned off. Any ideas why?

cannot login to Apple with Safari

It's been quite some time now that I cannot login to Apple with Safari. Works fine with Chrome. I've created a new password on several occasions now with no success. I deleted the Safari.plist file with no success. When entering the password the entry box wiggles as if I've entered the wrong password. Sad that I have to use a non-Apple app to sign in. Any suggestions?

Epson Printer "Mismatch between the paper type..."

Bought a new Epson ET-2720 printer which features a small message display. Any time I select photo paper for printing, the Epson print utility tells me: "Mismatch between the paper type settings on your computer and the printer." The printer then refuses to print because of the "mismatch."

I called Epson for clarification and their explanation, as best as I can understand, is that I have to first choose the paper type through the print utility on my computer, and then choose it again using...

Looking for Mac Pro 2008 Ram

Bought a 2008 Mac Pro that came with 5 - 8gb sticks of ram so yeah 1 is not recognized and sits on the bottom ram board.
I would love to find a matching piece to sit beside it and the only ones I can find are in pairs of course and singles are on a slow boat from China.
I'm hoping someone might have one kicking around and willing to sell it. If you have a pair I could still be interested.

Mac vs Windows Computers

My daily driver for a few years now is an old Dell laptop from about 2009. I bought it used about 7 years ago. It came with Windows 7, and I did the free upgrade to Windows 10 when Microsoft dropped support for Windows 7.
