.mov file won't copy to an external hard drive

need to transfer .mov files to external drive so the person can work on it... but it's telling me the following:

"Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured. (error code 0) "

the files sizes are 13GB, 50GB, and 34GB. Are these file sizes too big to transfer? The hard drive has plenty of space (205GB available).

Any idea why I can't copy this?

Help needed with new used MacBook Air

My old 2013 MacBook Air died and I purchased a used 2017 MacBook Air. Unfortunately, it doesn't have enough memory on it for me to restore all of the files from my old laptop. I decided to buy a hard drive on Amazon that looked like it was a match. Upon reading the user manual, I need my new laptop to be running OS High Sierra, Mojave or Catalina. My laptop is currently using Monterey. I found a free app Disk Maker X 9 for Catalina, but I'm not sure if I want to go ahead with loading...

Mac mini M2 and VGA display

I've got a early 2014 Mac mini (mini display connection) that works fine with my NEC VGA display. Before purchasing the newest Mac mini M2 with Thunderbolt 4, is there a proper adapter that works well with an older VGA display? I can't seem to find an Apple specific one. Or, maybe I need an HDMI to VGA adapter and leave my Thunderbolt 4 ports open.

Viewsonic A70 17" CRT Monitor - Free to pickup

Cleaning out the basement, I found my old CRT Monitor from the mid 1990's. Stored away as a backup when flat screens became affordable. Boots up and displays fine on a 2010 MacMini running Sierra.

Offered as is to anyone who can use it. It is heavy and I am not paying to ship it. I could deliver it if you are a reasonable distance. West GTA. Otherwise it is off to recycle.

Syncing of Messages on iOS devices

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen any message deletion sync over to another device. I can delete a message on my iPhone but I’ve also got to delete it on my iPad. Yes, both devices are signed into the same Apple iCloud account. This is what is suppose to happen but I’ve never seen it:

“If you have enabled Messages in iCloud and are signed-in to iCloud with the same AppleID on both iPhone and iPad, your messages will be fully synchronised between devices. Deletion of a message on one device...

Epson V750 scanner recognized intermittently

I have an Epson V750 scanner that is intermittently not recognized by my Mac Pro. If I temporarily unplug the USB cable or following a power outage, Epson Scan and Image Capture won't see it or be able communicate with it. Sometimes, even the profile for the V700/750 disappears from the System Preference setting for Printers and Scanners.

Strangely enough, if I plug the USB cable into my MacBook and attempt a single scan using Image Capture, then plug the USB cable back into the Mac Pro...
