I work from home using personal Mac (currently iMac). I bought this MBP a couple of years ago so I wouldn't need to use company Windows laptop when traveling. And have not traveled since.
When I bought it, it was relatively lightly used and I have not used it a lot since. Battery cycle count is around 420. The only issue is cosmetic - a bump in the aluminum near right edge due to drop or other incident before I got it (see second photo).
If this ad interests you, then you likely know that the 2011 and pre-Retina 2012 models are still strong performers with the quad core i7 processor and dual graphics processor.
Memory and disk are easily upgraded. What you can't add if you buy elsewhere are the BTO (build to order) upgrades:
° 2.5 GHz processort (base model is 2.2 GHz)
° 1680 x 1050 HiRes display (standard is 1440x900)
Apart from that it has standard 4GB memory, 750GB hard drive, SuperDrive, original MagSafe charger, etc. Full details at MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.5 15" Late 2011 Specs (Late 2011 15", BTO/CTO, MacBookPro8,2, A1286, 2563*) @ EveryMac.com
Asking $720. That's great value, even without the BTO extras.
I would prefer to sell to a local buyer in Ottawa, but will ship (within Canada) at cost.
