new iPad Pro with Thunderbolt 2 MBP

I have my new iPad Pro 12.9 inch on the way and just realized I'm going to need an adapter to connect. I've always connected my Lightning iPad Pro to my MBP USB connection. Is the following the adapter I need? That means the iPad Pro will connect to my Thunderbolt 2 (min display) port? And if so, it also means I will need a Thunderbolt 2 cable to connect, correct?
