WatchOS 10 messed up my Apple Watch

Just updated this evening to WatchOS 10. It then kept asking me for passcode and appeared as though it was on charge. Tried getting it out of charge mode (when it was on my wrist!). Finally decided to erase all content and start over. Repaired fine to iPhone but is still in "false" charge mode and it won't start actually charging when put on charger. All my apps work but something has definitely gone wrong in the update. I don't have much hope for getting this fixed before the battery...
