Nest to open developer program for Learning Thermostat, future products
Nest is claiming that they are a smart thermostat .. but they are just a fancy dumb knob on the wall..
I purchased the nest - used it for a week and returned it.. it is not compatible with ultra high efficiency furnaces [ smart furnaces.. ] My system is the lennox with HRV, humidifier, AC and 2 stage furnace.. - basically the nest doesn't know how to communicate with the components or system..
Before they go on to concur lights or other home devices.. maybe they should first work with all systems before claiming they are 'smart' or revolutionary..
after calling lennox - I have to invest in an iComfort which is $400 [ which I will pass ] not worth it..
