Hi,
Numbers by default puts commas at every thousandth place (1,000,000 for example). This is the standard way of representing numbers in many parts of the world.
However, I need a custom format for the comms separators. I need the first comma at the thousandth place, but every subsequent comma at the hundredth place. The reason for this is, this is how numbers are expressed in India.
Examples:
1 Million in Canada (1,000,000) would be represented in India as 10 Lakhs (10,00,000)
10 Million in Canada (10,000,000) would be represented in India as 1 Crore (1,00,00,000)
100 Million Canada (100,000,000) would be in India 10 Crores (10,00,00,000).
So, I need to do this in Numbers, so need to create a custom format and would love some help.
Thanks and cheers
