Seeking advice on Mac Mini memory

Have a new Mac Mini, currently has 4Gb RAM, would like to boost it to 8Gb or even 16Gb. However, a special circumstance. I'm disabled, can't travel. But the good news is I'm at Yonge & Bloor.

Am puzzling out the options. This Mac Mini has two memory slots, currently has two 2Gb RAM in each for a total of 4Gb. Can go up to 8Gb with a pair of 4's, or up to 16Gb with a pair of 8's. Apple specifies DDR3 1600mHz.

Amazon offers 2 refurbished from $114.61 (US probably), 5 used from $67.16, unlimited new at $81.71 (List $130 each). The maker is Kingston 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 (PC3-12800) SODIMM Memory for Apple MacBook Pro (KTA-MB1600/8G).

Does it matter that they're specifying MacBook Pro? It might, but on the other hand it might not. And is this something I could do at my desk?

Just thinking out loud. Your counsel and advice?
