How much life is left?

We have a iMac 27" core i7 and a MacBook Air core i5 both purchased in 2011. The most recent IOS can't be upgraded. There are a few apps that also can't be upgraded as well. How much life is there with both of these Apple products. So far my main apps are still useable.
