How to turn podcast off?

Hi,



Whenever I attach my iPhone 4 (iOS 6) to the car stereo a podcast starts playing automatically and I have to pause yet. The podcast also plays when I turn on the phone even with locked screen. How do I stop this behaviour without actually deleting the podcast?
