A friend gave me a ticket to see this performer about 15 years ago. I am a country music fan and rarely listen to anything else, so I really had no idea who I was going to see.
He was already well into his 70s, he sat on a chair with his guitar on his knee - I think he had a name for his guitar.
The audience was on its feet throughout the whole performance. He would strum one note of the next song, and the audience would go wild.
His music was blues (I think) and I'm sure he is very famous, but I can't remember his name.
Does this sound familiar?
