Keep this mini or return ??

Just today picked up open box 2.3 i5 Mini at FS. Guy says oh probably display or recent return. I was upgrading as my old 1.83 C2D was no longer OS upgradeable and my son couldn't play his new favorite game on it. That meant he thought my MacBook Pro was fair game ... NOT !!!! Well I get it home and when I log into Find my Mac it tells me this will remove so and so's name.. OK with that .. so now we know that was setup. Then when I check with Apple site with serial appears can no longer add Apple Care so it was registered over a year ago. Also original power cord not in box -- is third party piece. Also has nice divot out of aluminum shell on top edge. It appears to be running OK and in the midst of Mavericks download but I am thinking that perhaps shelling out the extra $200 for a in the box virgin might be worth it. I plan on keeping it for quite awhile and the $200 gives me the current generation, twice the RAM, and of course Apple Care instead of a FS warranty.



Any thoughts on this from the Apple experts ????
