GPU issue with mid 2010 MBP

I have a mid2010 MBP with an INVIDIA GPU which I suspect of causing kernel panics at various times. The frequency is becoming more frequent.

My extended warranty expired in May 2013, but I heard that there was an extension of warranty regarding the NVIDIA GPU, is that still in effect?
