Pete Seeger, legendary folk singer, dies at 94 - The Washington Post
Pete Seeger, folk singer and activist, dead at 94 - World - CBC News
"Pete Seeger, a 20th-century troubadour who inspired and led a renaissance of folk music in the United States with his trademark five-string banjo and songs of love, peace, brotherhood, work and protest, died Monday night after being hospitalized in New York for six days. He was 94."
I am truly sad to hear this news. I have heard him sing in person a few times and even spoke with him once briefly. He shall truly be missed for his strength and faith in the power of music and the need for freedom of thought and expression. :-(
