Buying rMBP - DIY upgrades or buy from Apple?

I haven't bought a Mac in years so SSD/Flash storage is new to me.

With the older Macs, I always bought the least amount of RAM and HD from Apple and then upgraded it myself with much cheaper components bought at Canada Computers.

I'm wondering if this strategy still make sense with the latest MBPs.

I looked up SSD replacement here: http://ift.tt/1pTZVHA

Doesn't look difficult but the photos on that page make the SSD look completely different than the photos of SSD on Canada Computers site. Canada Computers & Electronics | Solid State Drives Am I looking at the right thing on CC's site?
