I'm trying to record in GarageBand with a keyboard connected via a midi USB cable.
I have set the keyboard up in Audio Midi Setup, and using Midi Monitor it shows input from the keyboard correctly - the keys I play show up as data received.
But in System Preferences -> Sound -> Input, when I select the midi input (LogMeInSoundDriver), and play the keyboard, it doesn't show any input level. When I try the Internal microphone it shows input when I speak, but nothing when I select the midi input and play the keys.
Same thing when I try to set up a keyboard track in Garage Band. It recognizes that there is a midi input, but when I record, it doesn't record any sound.
My keyboard is turned on, midi monitor shows input, and the volume on my keyboard is up (I can hear it when I play). What's the problem??
Thanks for any help!
(using a MacBook Air, OSX 10.9.4, and a Technics SX-P50 keyboard)
