On an iMac running OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks I sometimes run Disk Utility to check that all is well.
Usually the details look fine and at the bottom is a green message: “The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK”
Sometimes however some tasks are checked more than once and this green message at the bottom is repeated up to nine times. Does this apparently erratic behaviour indicate a problem with Disk Utility?
I will be grateful for an explanation and if necessary for some remedial advice.
