The email (Mail) program locked up on my Mac (10.6.8), which also locked up the computer, and so I had to do a hard restart.
Did an fsck -fy on restart.
Had to do a second fsck -fy because of modification.
Mail program lost all account information but I still have messages from the missing accounts stored on the hard drive.
By means of Time Machine, what is the best way to get my email accounts back?
I've repaired permissions, restarted a few more times, restarted in the safe mode, logged out, used OnyX on automatic.
Nothing worked.
So instead of manually re-entering my email account info, which I'll do if I really have to, is there a way to speed things up by doing a particular restore with Time Machine?
