Is it still true that OS X does not enable TRIM for 3rd party SSDs, i.e. a SSD that is not preinstalled on a Mac? I found this discussion in the Apple Support Communities and users were recommended to install TRIM Enabler or issue a line of unix command in Terminal to enable TRIM.
