i've got this:
G-Tech 500GB G-DRIVE Slim USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive (7200 RPM) - Apple Store (Canada)
i'm using a 2008 black Macbook, OSX 10.6.8 which is compatible w that drive.
issue: everytime i try to use it on a daily basis, my system crashes. i was using an external HD (Seagate Backup Plus) and it did the same thing. i thought it was the drive due to it not being Mac specific so i sold it. now it's still making me crash.
what gives? my system? the drive? all i'm doing is storing MP3s and Time Machine backups on it, less than 100GB of data!
