I've never really checked into the hows and whys of Apple Mail's filtering measures in regards to Junk or Spam Mail. I've had it set on Training Mode for quite some time. I have all the filtering set properly, but there are always emails going to my Spam folder from senders who are in my Contacts, and they're not supposed to.
I'm also still confused on what the difference is between Spam and Junk. I'm using Gmail and from what I understand, Gmail has produced one of those folders. So, which one is the Apple folder? And, should I disable one of them? Any lastly, why is the Spam folder nestled down in my Local folders if I'm using IMAP?
