iTunes won't add music with arrow function

My iTunes 11 (most recent update) only adds albums when I drag them to the iPhone button, but not when I use the arrow to add to devices. What is wrong here?



Here's a picture of the arrow function (that doesn't do anything) since I don't know the right jargon to describe it.
