I use 2 computers to manually manage my iPad and iPhones. Before upgrading to iOS7, I could sync whatever song to whatever playlist to whatever device on either computer. The song was added to the existing playlist and that was that.
Now since "upgrading" my devices to iOS7, manual syncing is seriously broken. If I take the device from one computer to the next, songs become unplayable in the device itself, and those pesky little exclamation marks (!) appear all over the place, even thought I have set iTunes on both computers to NOT automatically sync my devices. Then to add insult to injury, now iTunes will only play 10 seconds of a song before skipping to the next; the device itself plays them just fine!
But just to prove my case to myself, I have a first gen iPod touch that works the way it used to with no problems whatsoever.
I don't think there is a solution to this problem, because after days of searching the internet and coming across thousands of other users with the same problem, it seems that no-one has come up with a fix or work around, and Apple refuses to acknowledge the "problem" that persists thru each and every iTunes update.
No wonder more and more people hate this bloated piece of software called iTunes.
