Purchased from Apple, and was never locked. I've used this with US AT&T during business travels. Phone has been babied, and has no scratches that I can see.

This is a 0.23mm glass screen protector. It's much harder and scratch resistant than plastic screen protectors. It feels smoother than the factory glass, and is removable with no residue (if you choose).
