Do use your iThings and laptops while they are plugged in?

I've always used my stuff while it's plugged in, but a friend was recently told that she MUST NOT use her iPod or iPhone while plugged in.



I pointed out that most upscale speakers charge the device while music is playing.



Thoughts?
