Tonnes of current 12 inch MacBooks in Refurb Store

I’m ready to push the button on a new MacBook Air and thought I’d check out the refurb store....only 3 today. However the 12 inch MacBook had what looked like pages for sale. Was wondering are they that poorly made that there are so many for sale? Just wondering.
