I've been a fan since watching my first episode a few weeks back. Riveting, well acted and staged. This season dragged on (my sentiments echoed throughout the net), but that last few minutes of Season 2.0 mid-season's finale made up for it.

Are you a fan? What have you enjoyed about this show? That first season had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and never let go. Been a long time since a show did that to me.:clap:

Apple Discounts

I was at an Applestore the other day and someone who worked for RBC walked in and got a 15% discount on her purchase. It got me thinking. I know there is an Educational discount that Apple provides, as well as a 25% Employee Discount and a 15% friends and family discount, but what other discounts does Apple provide? I would love to see a breakdown, maybe some people in our community are eligible for discounts that they aren't even aware about!

Best iPhone for pet action/portraits?

I am skipping buying a camera since ‘the best camera is the one you have on you’ and upgrading my iPhone 7 to one that is best for taking photos of my dog - action shots and portraits outdoors, in the forest and in the house. I love having the bokeh so the dog is the obvious subject and also the ability to choose which subject to focus on.

Which iPhone is best for this type of photography?

Alberta, the country.

For decades of my life there has been an undercurrent among Alberta's population for separation. It's like the tide: Depending on who is in Ottawa at the time, the swell comes & goes.

Living through PET's rape of Alberta in the 80's (NEP) made me a lifetime member of the "Albertan before Canada" club and, quite frankly, I have no memory of being a Canadian first. Perhaps as a wide-eyed youth. I honestly can't recall.

I do, however, have memories of the wave of Western separation...

Do-it-yourself garage

Years ago I remember living in London, ON and driving to a big warm garage where you could fix your own car, use a hoist and borrow tools at an hourly rate. On this cold Toronto day I checked to see if I could find something like that here, but the closest place was in Hamilton, and it appeared to be the only one.

Has this concept gone extinct?

My phone is broken!

Is there anywhere I can get my phone repaired???

The home button is not working. I can hear the other caller perfectly well but they can hardly hear me. It also seems to be getting very hot.

This is frustrating to say the least.

I have an 8GB phone, with 1.1.2 firmware, unlocked and using stealth sim (if any of this is relevant).

If there is anyone that can offer any advice I would really appreciate it. Other wise I think I may have a very expensive paper weight!

Photoshop CS5--how to change style of selection edges for Magic Wand

Someone has been playing around with the preferences in my Photoshop CS5. Instead of seeing the hash line selection edge when using the Magic Wand, the selection edge is white. Can anyone tell me which preference to fix to get it back?

MagSafe green light blinking

I have a MagSafe charger where the green light is blinking - never had that before in all the years I have owned Macs.I wonder if anyone knows what that means.

I have already gone through all the normal steps, resetting things on the Mac etc.

If I plug in another MagSafe charger everything works fine, so that suggests the Mac and battery are OK.
Don't currently have another MacBook Pro to check the charger on it - will have a second one next Saturday.

But in the meantime - has anyone ever...

now before you tell me to hunt macintosh garden, already tried that and a few others. they don't seem to have what i am looking for.

i am looking for the mac software for the ATI TV Wonder 650 USB for Mac, preferably the tvPORTAL app.

i have hunted irc channels and websites and google and even the wayback machine to no avail.

Where are all the Firmware Restoration CD?????

Looking all over the place for Firmware Restoration CD 1.3 and older version and i just can't seem to find them anywhere. even the Apple web site. when you try to D/l them? i keep getting the "The page you're looking for can't be found."

i'm looking for the version 1.4, 1.3 and others would be nice as extra.

Anyone knows where i can get them?

Safari gone bad

Safari is my fave browser. Though I have all the others, I like Safari’s features best.

Running Safari 13.1.2 on MacOS 10.13.6.

Typically, I leave all my pages & tabs open for future perusal. But Safari has been often quitting itself overnight.

And in the last week, Safari has been beachballing me. As a scroll through pages, it pauses & spins for a few seconds.

First experience of this &, perhaps needless to say, it’s driving me nuts!

Cleared Safari’s caches, deleted the plist, disabled...
