Mail won't send my password

I recently got a message that Mail can't send my password to the server securely. No explanation as to why. The only fix is to set "allow unauthenticated verification".

Aside from the security issue, Mail won't retain this setting. So I have to keep resetting it.

Does anyone know why I'm getting this message and how I can fix it. All comments are greatly appreciated.

Hello got the iPhone 6 Plus and love it. I use fingerprint to get in phone but noticed when I need to use password in to change it, it says wrong password. So i shut screen off and use fingerprint to open iphone. Is there anyway to see password if my finger print still works? It seems to start over on attempts, so can keep trying different passwords that i tried, so i can keep trying, but on my next restart i'm screwed.

For Sale MacBook Air Mid 2009 - as is

This is a mid 2009 model with the 2.13 Ghz processor and 2 gig of RAM. It runs fine but tends to freeze and then is difficult to restart, responding serendipitously to the power button. It ran long enough very recently to clean install Mavericks and do a bunch of surfing. I am fed up. I have done multiple SMC and PRAM resets. The shame of it is it is otherwise in excellent condition. Barring a tiny corner ding (see photo below) there are no skuffs or anything like that. The case is good top and bottom. The screen, keyboard, trackpad are all great. All ports work.

Below are pics of About this Mac screen, cocnutBattery output and case corner,

This is useful for someone refurbing an MBA with a damaged screen or case.

Asking $150 + shipping. If interested, please PM.

Can be seen or picked up in mid Eastern Ontario (PM for details)

His 1962 tune Stranger on the Shore, originally called Jenny after his daughter, was number one in the US and the UK, and sold one million copies.

He was the second British musician in history to top the Billboard charts, with only Vera Lynn succeeding to do so before him with Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart in 1952

Accessing documents from old iCloud hassle

I guess there won't be much if any improvement to using and accessing files from iCloud since Apple is now focusing on iCloud Drive and Yosemite etc.

Using supported applications with Mavericks to save any file to one's iCloud works nicely, with a handy iCloud option available.

But when it comes to accessing them, I think Apple missed the mark by a long shot.

If one has Saved to somewhere other than the iCloud option, it's no longer available as a choice when Opening some file that was saved to the iCloud, at least without having to find out how and then opening it from the folder that's buried in the bowels of one's Mac in the ~/Library/Mobile Documents folder.

At least there are some suggestions at:

How to access iCloud files from your Mac | Macworld

and

How to Access iCloud Documents From the Mac OS X Finder | OSXDaily

But geese Apple, even an install of Dropbox and Google Drive put an option next to the Save and Open windows. Why not one for TextEdit documents etc.

I think I'll just use Dropbox and Google Drive, sure a lot less hassle opening a saved "cloud" document, unless I'm missing something obvious.
