Can I ask about Yahoo mail?

I have an email address that will not send since yesterday. Even when I open it in Mail I get failure notices. This is really bad timing as I am busy organizing a film festival and the sponsors and it's the festival email address for this.

Odd thing but thankfully my personal yahoo mail is fine.

Does anyone have any ideas???

I have switched browsers...hmm not to the one my personal one work in.... have to try that.

I've got to the basic version of it.

I've opened it in my Mac Mail.

Nothing. I'll try in Firefox where my other one is still working.

Eek! NOT good timing for this.

Carbon Copy Cloner Issue

I just finished a nuke and pave on my MBP and then cloned it to an external drive using CCC.

I now want to transfer the contents of the MBP to my Mac Mini so the two are identical. I want to do this daily so that the Mini becomes my exact backup in case of any trouble with the MBP. (Unlikely, but one should be prepared.)

Trouble is that when I select the source drive in CCC as the clone, then try to select the Mac HD as the destination, I get the error message shown below.

Any suggestions on how I might accomplish this transfer?

I need help please,iPhoto 9.6.1 will not update

Good day all, I have a 2007 iMac and have up graded my operating system to Yosemite about a month ago. I have had no problems until today. I tried opening my iPhoto and it say cannot open iPhoto and that I need to download version 9.6.1 in order to work. I try downloading and it tells me that it is installing, but nothing happens. I left it for 3 over hours and nothing. It just seems to hang there. I have shut down the computer and tried to re install and the same thing happens.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I am not very technical at all so I may have to make an appointment at the Apple store.

Thanks for the help,

Migrating old Boot Camp Partition to a New Boot Camp Partition

I looked for a thread to cover Boot Camp partition migration and did not find any old threads

I have acquired a new iMac 3.1 Ghz 16Gb Ram 1Tb Fusion drive. I would like to transfer from an early 2009 iMac 2.66 Ghz 8Gb Ram 320 hard drive, some files and a piece of software (UFile) from a WinXP Boot Camp partition on the old iMac to the new iMac. I have already successfully installed Win7 Boot Camp Partition. Both iMacs are running the latest version of OS X Yosemite

I have a Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 adapter and 800 FireWire cord. I used this setup and have finished migrating the Mac side with migration assistant. I have USB external hard drive and a 32Gb USB thumb drive.

I also have Parallels DeskTop version 10.1.4.

The files I want to transfer are less than 4.5Mb. I would also like to migrate the Software Program UFile (with the Software Key) that I have already paid for.

What would be the safest/easiest method to "migrate" the Windows Boot Camp Partition from the old iMac to the new iMac?

Squeezing the life outta a trustie MacBook Pro

Its a mid 2010 model. Its a given that I will be maxing out the memory.

Need a recommendation for a solid state hard drive as upgrade from its stock hard drive.

Wife is ultimate office application user and is getting a 2015 Mac AIr. So this machine will migrate to me to be my travelling, coffee shop office and when required on-site freelance machine.

As always much appreciated your insights.

Edward

What's happening w/ Safari?

Does anyone really use it any longer?? Feel like they've become a touch of a common person's browser - and they've been slow at making significant upgrades to the features. WTH. I thought of this after this popped up....

Chrome has been fast and furious w/ features. Canary is also avail.

FF released a Dev Edition meant for some focused tooling of sites.

Safari?? Don't feel like I've seen any significant changes in more than a min. And MS Spartan has been getting some attention, seemingly working with the community to get it right this time. The knock on Apple/Safari? no one seems to ever know what they're doing. Too bad.

I keep them all grouped to test. Safari desktop #s are dead low, but they do have a bit of a hold on mobile.

but still...

What are ehMac'ers using FT??

H!

iPhone 6C - rumours

So they have swirling rumours of an iPhone 6C. Which i find interesting. Then not. The price point on the iPhone 6 shattered known records (that i believe), with the 6 breaking that $1k barrier - and being the most successful (confirmed?) iPhone to sell. Anyhow, might this come in on time for a bit if a price point relief?? But that I recall, the 5c didn't do that well. Plus, not that I wasn't a fan of that colourful plastic housing, but could it come off?? Anyhow... to be continued i guess.
