What if any privacy benefits social media via browser vs apps.

Curious if I do all my social media engagements via a browser as oppose to having the app (with various settings turned off or on) if it's more private. With facebook via browser for example I know I am only giving access to my device's stored files on a per need basis and not all the time. Too via browser I do not need to give access to my iPhone's contact list. I do know iPhone has a number of settings that can be turned off for privacy, do not know if this makes the social media apps...

To the "ehMac community",

I just found out about this website and I think it's fantastic. I am selling my fairly new MacPro and 23inch Cinema display and someone on Craigslist said I should advertise here and sent me the link. I love forums as they have been a huge help for me while I was learning about photoshop, non-linear editing. I also do a forum search everytime before I purchase a new piece of gear.

For some reason I need to be a member for 30 days and post at least 30 messages...

Frozen Facebook page

I have this problem on my MacAir only - Facebook on my iPad and iPhone work normally. I cannot get past the error page (see screen shot). I tried to report it to Facebook, but heard nothing back. Since it's only on the laptop, maybe it is more an Apple problem than Facebook? I don't recall what I was doing exactly when it froze up, but I may have been trying to manage a page in MetaBusiness.
Anyone have any ideas how to address this problem?

Imac and kobo

After connecting a new kobo ereader the mac was frozen
Every attempt to reboot , even after a extrrnal boot disc failed
Start up ok; windows popped up and after that : frizen completely
