I have no sound of any kind coming from my MBP 10.10.5 (2014 I think).
The speaker volume keys don’t have an effect. In preferences/audio there are no output devices listed.
This happened after I did a CCC backup. I don’t know whether that has anything to do with it.
As a way to free up hard drive on the MBP I backup all music files -iTunes, GarageBand- to an external HDD.
The volume icon in the tool bar is greyed.
