Accidental drop of HDD while connected to Macbook Pro

I had an external magnetic hard drive hooked up to my old 2007 MBP with the notebook sitting on my lap in the living room. I was watching TV at the time while transferring some video files to the external HDD. I watched more TV for some more minutes then decided to take a washroom break.
