Mac mini now incredibly slow...???

I'm trying to figure out why my Mac mini is now incredibly slow. It started a while back. Back in the day, I used to wipe it clean and do a new install with my system disks but now with online system software upgrades..., not sure what to do. My last actual system disks are probably OS 10.7

Specs:
Mac mini (Early 2009)
Processor: 2,26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
OS version: 10.11.5 (15F34)

I've attached a screen shot of my activity monitor. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Marc P.

Wanted To Buy Video card for mac pro 1.1

Picked up a mac pro 2.66 (2006) to play some old games and the 256mb video card stutters too often. It has 8 single 1mg chips and the two 1.5 g hdds are raided so other than maybe searching for 8 single 2mg chips, the video card is the way to go. I tried a newer 1g card but no drivers for mac so I am sure I am restricted to the few original options.
Let me know what you have and what you need for it.
Thanks folks.

custom text keyboard shortcut?

A work, someone asked if there was a way to save certain things that could be pasted in a document or email by a key command. Something they type out regularly for example "terms and conditions apply". Tried poking around OS X but found nothing and google brought up nothing either.

Is there anyway to do this?

Example
permanentely save "terms and conditions apply"
paste with "cmd + R"

Bitdefender alert: EasyDocConverter/ Backdoor.Mac.Eleanor

Beware: Tor backdoor targeting Macs

New Tor-powered backdoor malware targets Macs | PCWorld
Security researchers have found a new backdoor program that allows attackers to hijack Mac systems and control them over the Tor network.

The new malware has been dubbed Backdoor.MAC.Eleanor by researchers from antivirus vendor Bitdefender and is distributed as a file converter application through reputable websites that offer Mac software.

The rogue application is called EasyDoc Converter. Once installed it displays a fake interface where users can supposedly drag and drop files for conversion, but which in reality doesn’t do anything.

In the background, the application executes a shell script that installs multiple malicious components in a folder called “/Users/$USER/Library/.dropbox.” The Dropbox name is used to make the malware harder to spot and has nothing to do with the legitimate Dropbox file synchronization software.

The Eleanor malware has three components: a Web service with a PHP application, a Tor hidden service that allows attackers to connect to the affected systems over the Tor anonymity network and an agent that posts the Tor access URLs for infected systems to the Pastebin website.

The PHP application served by the Web service is actually a backdoor that allows attackers to view, edit, rename, delete, upload, download and archive files on the system; to execute shell commands and scripts written in PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Java and C; to open a reverse shell to the attackers’ server; to connect to MySQL, SQLite and other databases; to view the process list and to send emails with attachments. Another component of this application allows attackers to capture images and videos using the system’s webcam.

* * *

The good news is that the app is not digitally signed by an Apple-approved certificate, so users will see security warnings on the latest OS X version if they try to install it. On OS X El Capitan (10.11) users would actually need to perform a manual override in order to install the application.

Super Elite Puppet gets free pass

Two at least partially related stories. If you believe the Republirat version of Whitewater the stories may be completely intertwined.

BREAKING: Romanian hacker with access to Clinton emails found dead in jail cell | Christian Times Newspaper

I remember reading the reports of his disappearance several hours before he was found dead. BTW How the hell did he manage to get a rope into his cell? It all smells very fishy to me. Was it outright murder or merely enhanced interrogation taken to the extreme? I'll bet my carbon tax rebate it wasn't suicide!

EDITORIAL: Hillary scandal flaunts corruption | Colorado Springs Gazette, News

Hillary's classified eMails may have been hacked.:confused::confused: The first article makes it very clear they were hacked, the FBI knew they had been hacked and still chose not to press charges. I would be willing to bet if one of my eMail accounts was found to contain even a single classified document I would share the fate of that Romanian Hacker.

Is Apple Care transferable on Apple display when purchased with MacBook Pro?

I am looking at buying a used 27" Apple Display. The original purchaser bought Apple care for both the display and his MacBook Pro. If I buy only the monitor is the Apple care transferable?

Any knowledge is appreciated.
