In August of this year, I dropped my iPad mini 2, which WAS in a case, but had no protective screen. Sure enough, it fell screen first and hit a rock and the screen cracked.
Since my iPad was out of warranty, I decided that I didn't want to spend almost $300 for Apple's out-of-warranty repair, so I took it to a repair shop (BuynCell) instead. What a mistake that was.
After a whole month of back and forth repairs (the screen replacement was supposed to take 2 hours, but ended up taking 3 weeks instead because somehow they screwed up the connections and only half the screen would respond), the screen was finally "fixed" with a 90 day warranty.
EXACTLY 30 days after the warranty was up, the left side stopped responding again. I talked to the owner and he claimed that he would do the repairs again at a discount, but I am hesitant to take it back there.
Can anyone recommend a reliable and profession iDevice repair shop in the GTA? I definitely cannot take it to Apple now, so I need to find the next best thing.
