Vector files on MS Word?

As a graphic designer, I created a branding program for a non-profit animal sanctuary in a small community that has a major expansion program underway. Their volunteer board member is doing some of their graphics following the Identity Standards I set up. BUT that person only uses her own PC based MS Word and Publisher. She cannot use Mac Illustrator CS6 .AI vector files (logo, animal vector graphics, etc). She asked if I can convert them to files usable in MS docs. They cannot afford right now to buy a Mac OS and buy Adobe Creative Cloud. Which I don't even want to use!

I can convert the graphics to JPEGs, BUT...
they will be only in RGB colour mode. Problem to prepare an ad for print.
Enlarging will be a problem. If they want to do large sign graphics.
The logo will have a white box around it when placed on a background colour. Amateurish.
etc.

Are there any other suggestions for MS Word?
If they decide to use a Mac at some point, would buying AFFINITY DESIGN be a cheaper option than using Creative Cloud?

Thanks for good suggestions!
