One person is dead following a shooting at the Muslim Cemetery outside Calgary, approximately one kilometre east of the community of Cochrane. Calgary police said four people were shot and are being treated in hospital after a shooting broke out around 3:35 p.m. RCMP said one of the victims appeared to be dead. Cochrane RCMP said in a release, “there is no immediate danger to the public.” A witness, who did not wish to be identified, said she heard two gunshots during a large funeral at the cemetery. She said at the end of the funeral, a skirmish broke out. That’s when she heard two or three gunshots and saw people start running. By the time police showed up, she said everyone was gone.
