Deleting multiple emails at once on iPhone

For some strange reason, every single e-mail that I've ever received has decided to appear in my inbox. Is there a way to delete multiple e-mails at once instead of having to do it individually? Also, it appears that I've deleted some e-mails before but they keep coming back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
