I recently had need of finding an earlier version of a file stored in a friend's Dropbox. I knew that DB had a revision scheme, and set about to rescue my friend's file from some edits that had unknowingly affected other parts of the document. Hero status in mind, off I went to the DB webpage. And darned if I could find it. How embarrassing!

Mac: Dropboxs revision history is a great way to pull up older versions of files, but its not exactly easy to use in the web app. Revisions for Dropbox is a Mac app that lives in your menu bar and makes browsing file versions a breeze.(MacStories via Lifehacker)
With Revisions, you can browse file history by date, type, location, and more. You can then search for specific revisions to narrow down on your search and find the exact file version youre looking for. You can then load up that older version of a file or restore revisions in bulk. The apps free, but an in-app purchase unlocks extra features, including the ability to see which user edited a file, advanced filtering, and more. That said, for most of us, the free version is plenty.
