Re-post - unable to save email address in "Contacts" in Mavericks

Hmm... I posted this earlier, but the post never showed up, so I a posting it all over again. I hope it shows up this time.



I noticed this issue yesterday with my Contacts app on my laptop, but don't know how long I have had this problem, because I have not edited my contacts in a while:



I opened an existing contact and added an email address and click "Done". The address shows up. However if I either go to another contact and come back to this contact, or if I quit the app and relaunch it, the email address I added is not there.



My Contacts are being synched with iCloud. I went to iCloud.com, the email address is not there.



I manually added the email address to the same contact on my iPhone, and went back to iCloud.com, the email address is not there.



So, I wonder what the problem is.



Also, why am I unable to save the email address on my Mac? There is no "On My Mac" tab in Contacts, it is only iCloud. Is that probably the problem?



Any ideas?

Update: Problem solved - I deselected "Contacts" from the iCloud preferences, that deleted all contacts from my Mac, I checked Contacts again, and it all refreshed, with everything fine.
