I posted before saying I wanted to use Lightroom 5 but am nixing that and trying to find out which system will be best for my revised needs which are:
-either Aperture, Pixelmator or similar (I'm a total beginner and just want basic editing capabilities; approx use would be 50 photos every 2-3 weeks)
-play music and watch movies via iTunes (200GB music on external HD)
-internet (ie. Chrome, Netflix)
-MS Word (not heavy, about once a week)
Being that most of my big stuff is stored on an external HD, I'm not too concerned about storage capacity. Currently, I'm using about 100GB of hard drive space.
Once every 1-3 months it'd be nice to be portable, but I could probably get away with using an iPad at those times so portability isn't an absolute necessity though handy.
Mac Mini vs. MBP Retina?
