In my SPAM box of an Yahoo mail account is an eMail that appears to be from an acquaintance who has a gMail account.
Title is that I have a new notification from ... @gmail.com
giveaway is that the from box says ...<info@flipmailer.com>
Click on the view box and it asks for my YahooMail password. Obviously that is not going to happen. I have zero doubt as to whether providing that password would have compromised my Yahoo account.
As a further FYI the ... is a woman in her seventies with a limited income and would no doubt end up having to pay for assistance if there is problem at her end.
Finally on to the question. Is her account merely being spoofed or is it more likely that it or her computer is part of a SPAMbot network?
