Buying new MBP retina

I'm going to do this. A new MBP to replace my 2005 MB.

Prices at the Apple store are $1400, 1600 and 1900, delivered. They all have 8GB RAM. Storage goes from 128GB to 512GB. For the rest, they're about the same. I will choose 1 of the 2 cheaper ones I think. My budget is $1900 but I want to get new good speakers for it. Currently thinking Harmon Kardon III for about $200.

Will I be better off buying an extra 8GB of RAM for $200 (they sayRAM is now built in so you can't upgrade after purchase - true?) or spending the extra $200 on harddrive (flash-based) storage. After 9 years, my 128GB harddrive is about 55% full and I don't have a lot of data stored elsewhere. I upgraded the RAM to 4GB and it's doing pretty well running 10.6.

How big a factor is processor speed?

Thanks.
