I am about to purchase a new Mac Pro with the 3x4gb ram option, but would like to replace it with 2x16gb of ram, which I cannot obtain from Apple as an initial config. Is anyone interested in buying the 3 - 4gb ram modules (1866MHz DDR3 ECC SDRAM DIMM) at a discounted negotiable price? I would boot and test the Mac Pro with the original ram modules, and then install the new ram immediately, so the 4gb modules would be essentially unused. I would provide all receipts as proof.
If not here, I would appreciate suggestions on where I can go to sell such ram.
