My old G5 Power Mac goes black after startup. It will go through the usual start up routine, and shortly after the desk top is visible, screen goes black. I've done a PRAM re-set after reading about similar issue by others. At one point, prior to the re-set, I got the Open Firmware screen but could do nothing with it. PRAM battery?
