I am soooooo frustrated.
Things were on and off for several months - but now it is almost every day.
We stream programs that have been downloaded to the iPods - through Apple TV on to our TV.
At times it takes FOrever - over 10 minutes for the program to load to the Apple TV - or it just sits there with the circle of boredom flipping around. Tonight, it took a good 5 minutes to load from one of GE iPods (the other one wouldn't work) - let us watch 5 minutes - then stopped to load more of the program - on a 44 minute program - it stopped 4 times
We called Telus and they say they don't support our equipment because our equipment probably has a glitch (yes - they used that term). They didn't explain why our equipment actually gets kicked right out of the router at times. Called Apple - they say that our equipment is out of warranty (for a mere $29.95 they would be glad to work us through the problem) - but they did suggest resetting the network settings.
So....here is what we have done ..in a variety of configurations:
Reset the router
Hard reset the router
Restart the Apple TV
Disconnect and restart the Apple TV
Hard reset the iPod
Reset the network settings on the iPod
Our temptation is to get a different router - but since our iPods are 2-4 years old - are we just looking at more problems?
Thank you for any suggestions offered
