Is it just my Safari doing this?
Bookmark folders with a square icon beside their name open all included bookmarks in individual tabs.
Bookmark folders with an inverted caret (upside-down ˆ beside their name are drop-down lists of the bookmarks within.
I used to be able to use Option+click to select one of the bookmarks within. This no longer works for me in Safari 9.
