I have switched back to Safari from Chrome after quite some time but am finding the same ugly behaviour with syncing my Safari Bookmarks in the Cloud. I was organizing them on my MBP (trashing a large number of duplicates- go figure) and just this morning, it appears that iCloud has taken over again and switched my local Bookmarks on my MBP back to it's own structure. I've followed certain procedures for trashing iCloud Bookmarks and starting over with those on my MBP but the chaos always seems to return. I'm tempted to turn Safari off in the Cloud and do manual syncs with iTunes, but I'd rather not.
